PRS stands for 'Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya'

Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya(PRS).
Yes, that's what's I'm going to write for today.

PRS is one of the elements in Kelab Bimbingan dan Kaunseling.
PRS members are being choosed and trained in many terms such as 'jasmani, emosi, rohani and intelektual (JERI)' to help all the problematic students.
ML said, "Kelab Bimbingan dan Kaunseling supposed to be change to Kelab Bimbingan dan Kerjaya."
The reason is very simple.
In fact, we are still young and we hardly have any experience in solving problems.
There are still many things to learn from Ms Lily.
Thus, we don't counsel students but lead them to the right path.

Our motto is "We Care".
And, our principle is "Bantu sendiri untuk membantu orang lain" (helping ourselves in order to help others).
What I'm going to highlight is that our objective is to try our very best with all we can by understanding fellow student's situation, studying their facial expressions, providing them correct informations, giving our advices, analysing their options, keeping their secret and most importantly is getting their feedback.

In fact, there is still many things I need to say about this club...
We play quite an important role as peers who are excellent in studies, sincere in helping others, respect others opinion and most importantly is carrying a responsiblity to reduce discipline problems among students.

Some of my classmates asked me this question - "As a PRS member, has anyone in the school asking for your help so far?"
Well, I thought they mean the kind of 'formal and serious' situation. And, I'm telling the truth by saying "None for the mean time."
Then, they said, "So, what are PRS members doing for all this while?"
I thought it's the time for me to do the talk. Therefore, I replied "There wasn't any major event that had been done for all this while. But, we are always alert with what's happening around the school. We offer our helping hands to students and teachers. There isn't anything to do with who approached who in solving problems. We should be friendly to anyone and willing to approach those who are facing stumbling blocks. Recently, PRS is planning a trip to Salvation Army Children's Home on 1st February 2008 (Friday). We are going to play games, distribute oranges (as Chinese New Year is around the corner) and understand their daily life with all our heart. Well, I'm quite excited as I'll learn even more new things from the trip."

There are tremendous things and experience I gained for all this while.
And, I knew that I have to face challenges that are waiting for me.
"Thank you" - two simple words that convey a lot of appreaciation is all I would like to say for those who had give me opportunity to prove myself that I actually can. And, most importantly thanks for W's kindness and thoughtfulness.

Thanks, peep!
I LOVE PRS...
